About this deal

I'm not even going to try to get into the whole Anderson / Juliette thing in the book, that was just way too weird, and boils my blood every time I think about it. i knew he’d be close to crying when he saw juliette walking down the aisle. and this novella confirmed that kenji and warner are besties🥺

SPOILERS WARNING: This review will contain detailed, unmarked spoilers/quotes and this will be a RANT so do not continue if you don't want to be spoiled or if you don't want to accept my aggressive thoughts about your favs. You have been warned*** This ends the original Shatter Me trilogy, but Mafi wrote three more novels 4 years after the completion of the first trilogy. As I have already mentioned, if I had it in me to give this book 3⭐️ I would. But this series was what made me fall in love with reading (along with hush hush). So 5⭐️ is for everything that this series brought to my life and how happy I am for having read it.

I'm going to pretend that this trilogy doesn't exist and Warner and Juliette in Ignite Me lived happily ever after. Though I SUPPOSE the upside to this extra trilogy is Kenji and Nazeera. But I will tell myself they met after Ignite Me and fell in love. Let me live in my imagination. We’re in a big, wide room that smells like dirt. There are trees everywhere, so tall they nearly touch the pipes and beams of the open ceiling. Birds, dozens of them, screech as they stretch their wings. Their calls are loud. A little scary. I try not to flinch as one of the large white birds swoops past me. It wears a bright, neon-green bracelet around one leg. They all do. Warner has his sights set on more than just politics. Since he proposed to Juliette two weeks ago, he’s been eager to finally marry her, the person he loves more than anything and has endured so much to be with. But with so much chaos around them, it’s been nearly impossible for them to have a wedding. And even Juliette has been distracted by everything they need to do.

so, i've been meaning to lower the rating on this one. warner and juliette are still my babies and i'll always love them, but i don't understand how this could ever be considered a wedding novella (that's how it was promoted) when the author didn't even bother to give her readers the wedding vows let alone the whole wedding. the whole novella is mostly just warner feeling miserable that juliette seems to be avoiding him and that she might be having second thoughts about the wedding. they are still having massive communication issues which is not the place your main couple should be at if it is literally the end of your series. where is all the development? He is pristine and meticulous and has always intrigued me from the very start and there's no one like him in this world. He's the best. He's love and everything and I would protect him with everything I have. I love him so so much and I want to know more about him 😭💗💗 Believe Me is basically about Warner and Juliette/Ella trying to get married- but encountering unexpected challenges. Will they have their happy ending? And just like the other books in this second trilogy, the characters were absolutely awful. Except Kenji. Kenji is the highlight of the second trilogy.

Customer reviews

First, let me start with the good and say that I love Tahereh's writing. I had forgotten how atmospheric and beautiful it was. How does her mind come up with such lyrical sentences? Imagine Me” collapsing under the weight of all those question marks, because let’s face it: This book was all over the place! I feel like Atlas and it’s no fun! I would happily watch the world go up in flames if anything happened to her, and if that's not enough for you, you can go to hell." Although I felt like the end was rushed and anticlimax, and that things, in general, felt rushed and I didn't have enough of my husband and my favorite couple in this book, and hated some of the things that happened in this, I'm going to give this book 5 stars because I love this series and characters with my whole heart and I don't have it in me to give it a lower rating than that. White birds, white with streaks of gold, like crowns atop their heads. They fly. They soar through the sky with strong, steady wings, masters of their destinies. They used to make me hope.

This series should have remained a trilogy. Life would have been good if it had ended with Ignite Me. But no, I guess life is not in fact, good. But I don’t want to go,” I say, fear making my voice shake. “I want to stay here, with you and Dad and Emmaline. I still don’t understand why I have to leave.” Now that Ella knows who Juliette is and what she was created for, things have only become more complicated. As she struggles to understand the past that haunts her and looks to a future more uncertain than ever, the lines between right and wrong – between Ella and Juliette – blur. And with old enemies looming, her destiny may not be her own to control. I’m sorry to say it but I can’t give this more than 2,5 stars rounded up to 3. (I really wish we’d have half-stars here because 2,5 would be way more accurate than 3.) 2,5 stars because otherwise it would feel like I’d let Tahereh get away with this disaster of a book and someone has to speak the truth. As a huge fan of this series my heart is bleeding but I stand by my opinion! #SorryNotSorryI cling to him, squeezing my eyes shut as my head swims. These memories were a gift from my sister, Emmaline. The sister I only just discovered, only just recovered.

I also still hate Juliette, don't even have a reason for it. She just causes Warner to have a lot of doubts. Anderson is so full of himself though, and was like “I own you,” and “You tell me all your thoughts and things,” and I was like, are you serious? Are you that power hungry to subject her to telling you her every thought and action. Juliette was staring into the distance and he was like, “What are you thinking?”Leaves, shuddering under the weight of resignation, yoked to branches too easily bent, broken. I dream of wind, lengths of it. Yards of wind, acres of wind, infinite whispers fusing to create a single breeze. I hear wind comb the wild grass of distant moutons, I hear wind howling confessions in empty, lonely plains. I hear the sh sh sh of desperate rivers trying to hiss the world in a fruitless effort to hush itself.” (pg. 57) The book that all SHATTER ME fans have been waiting for is finally here. The finale of Tahereh Mafi's New York Times bestselling YA fantasy series perfect for fans of Sarah J. Maas, Victoria Aveyard's The Red Queen, Stranger Things and Leigh Bardugo's Six of Crows
