The hero refers to Luke, whose soul is reaped by Annabeth's Knife. The knife is cursed because of Luke's broken promise to Annabeth and Thalia. Eurytion - Eurytion is a demigod son of Ares and former herdsman of Geryon. He is kind and took control of the ranch after Geryon was killed. He helped Annabeth and her friends find Hephaestus. Thalia Grace - Lieutenant of the Hunters of Artemis. Daughter of Zeus and the mortal Beryl Grace. Best friends with Percy, Annabeth, and Grover. Oh . . . right." I tried to sound excited. I mean, she'd asked me to her family's vacation house on St. Thomas for three days. I didn't get a lot of offers like that. My family's idea of a fancy vacation was a weekend in a rundown cabin on Long Island with some movie rentals and a couple of frozen pizzas, and here Rachel's folks were willing to let me tag along to the Caribbean.

Polyphemus - Polyphemus is a cyclops who lives in the Sea of monsters, and kept the Golden Fleece. He kidnapped Grover and wanted to marry him because he thought he was a female. He was defeated by Percy and friends, but also cursed Percy. Will Solace - Will is a son of Apollo and current head counselor of Apollo’s cabin. He is a healer and healed Annabeth during the Battle.Ouch! That one hurt. Never thought I’d see Annabeth have a go at Percy like that but I guess there’s only so much a good demigod girl can endure. Sexy red haired beautiful maidens that seem to be interested in your boy are definitely vexing and sort of bound to get on your nerves. Add the apocalypse into the mix and you have a truly pissed off Annabeth. Talk about a solid recipe for disaster! *lol* Despite everything that’s going down I’m glad to say that our heroes got their priorities straight though. Rachael Elizabeth Dare she was involved in this more than I expected but I liked it! I really liked her character but hate how Riordan tried to assassinate it by putting her in that weird love triangle. I am glad her and Annabeth made up they deserve to be best friends not enemies Annabeth Chase could punch me in the face and rob my home and I would thank her. I LOVE HER. What a wise, badass legend. Deserves the world. She did the MOST for the camp and I just love her so much. The final battle is a colossal affair that occupies most of the book. The variety of monsters and weapons keep the thing from getting repetitive and I had a good time reading it. The ending is satisfying with elements of tragedy mixed into the victory. Job well done. Ever come home and found your room messed up? Like some helpful person (hi, Mom) has tried to “clean” it, and suddenly you can’t find anything? And even if nothing is missing, you get that creepy feeling like somebody’s been looking through your private stuff and dusting everything with lemon furniture polish?"

Hestia - Goddess of the hearth, the last Olympian. She sits at the campfire at Camp in the form of an 8 year old girl and befriended Percy, Nico, and Rachel. She helped defeat Kronos and keeps the spirit of hope. Tyson - Tyson is the Cyclops half-brother of Percy and son of Poseidon. He lived on the streets for years until he befriended Percy and went to Camp. He later moved to Poseidon’s underwater palace with the other cyclops and became a general. Tyson is very gifted and happy and is very good with building things and mechanics. He has a pet hippocampus named Rainbow and is close friends with Grover, Annabeth and Percy. I love the characters in this series so much. That is mostly what kept me so invested in finishing this series Olympians (Marvel Comics)/ Thor (Marvel Comics) – comics based on the same premise, with both Greek and Norse gods. The Demigod Diaries also contains a story involving Jason, Leo, and Piper that recounts their time spent at Camp Half-Blood between The Lost Hero and The Mark of Athena.

Highlights of this book: die (nothing new), Percy dreams a lot, Percy gets betrayed, Percy gets kissed by *wink* ____, Percy nearly dies (nothing new again), Percy gets threatened by her future mother in law *wink*. Percy dreams about Nico where the latter is trying to summon his mother’s ghost, but his sister's spirit forbids him to. Nico insists, but instead of his mother’s ghost he is met with a vision. In the vision, he sees Maria di Angelo and Hades in the era of World War II. The two are arguing about Nico and Bianca's safety. The Percabeth moments in this one are just perfect. Emphasis on the unforgettable underwater kiss. We all need a Percy in our lives let's just admit it. The fact they both gave up immortality for each other just gives me butterflies. Also, turns out there's a lot of foreshadowing in this one and it absolutely took me by surprise.
