About this deal

Rhaim and Lisane are such vastly different characters brought together by shocking circumstances…I won’t explain Lisane’s circumstance because I really enjoyed watching it all unfold as you get further into the story, but pretty early on in the book you learn that Rhaim knows Lisane…has known her for centuries, in fact…. The book is written from dual pov, which in theory makes sense but wasn't executed well, leaving the book lacking in story and character development. Bend Her è un libro interessanti sotto molti punti di vista, ma mi sarebbe piaciuto un approfondimento maggiore su alcune parti del racconto. As far as the romance, it's non existent and I really hope that at least the print version of the book comes with an author's note that this should not be used as an instructive example for BDSM. This is an excellent first installment, and if it sounds like something you’d enjoy, I 10/10 recommend giving this book a try.

The very thing my father had been afraid of for me for my whole life—and the reason I lived in a gilded cage, only getting to leave the palace when I had throne-sworn mages by my side—had apparently happened. In the blink of an eye, her entire life has changed and she doesn't know if this is a bad or good thing. So far I'd give it a 2/5 🌶 rating, but the future installments are going to be MUCH heavier on that aspect and I can't wait. I defiently will read the next installment, as it ended in a bit of cliffhanger for me and I just want to know more! The MMC's pov was meant to explain the magic system to us; that was it, but the author tried to stretch it out, and it made his story feel almost silly.

In Bend Her, they keep referencing previous events but their opinion about the event changes throughout the book. star rating are: character motives felt weak and inconsistent, world building could be stronger and filled out more, and most of the smut came off more as abuse. There was a bathroom scene, though, that was delicious, and I am patiently awaiting to read more about a certain cheeky piercing. His beast craves her, while the human finds himself at an impasse, knowing he must get rid of her or prevent her from becoming a danger to him. This is the first book in a dark fantasy romance series that follows the story of a princess that is kidnapped by the All-beast. I did purchase a special edition hardcover copy of Bend Her directly from the author and it came with an audiobook copy as well. Such an amazing book with a unique storyline and adorable side companions 🤌 highly recommend if you like spice and magic!

The Beauty and the Beast elements are certainly there but I love how Cassie still made her version very much her own.

Sono due aspetti che rendono il libro distinguibile dagli altri fantasy che ho letto e proprio per questo mi sarebbe piaciuto vederli approfonditi un po’ di più. The All-beast was so fearsome and intriguing, he could not only control and manipulate beasts surrounding him but also become one himself. Even characters that had little "page time" were given so much personality that I visualized exactly who they were very quickly.

The story is told from both their perspectives, so that you get one perspective from Lisane of her trying to learn magic, and second from Rhaim when he fights with other magicians the deadly enemy. He perfectly captured Rhaim’s dark, alpha, touch her and you die sides as well as the fact that despite his fears he finds himself falling for Lisane. Seeing the relationship between Rhaim and Lisandro gradually grow and develop (slow burn for the WIN) was so satisfying, and kept me turning the pages, so eager to find out what would happen! A dark fantasy romance about Rhaim the All-Beast, a cruel beast mage doomed to die at the hands of the woman he must protect, and Lisane, the Princess of Tears, who needs to learn magic so she can be free—no matter the cost.My favorite aspect was the dual POV that provides for deep insight into the mind of the sexy LI--the All-Beast. Also I've got to say that I've read many books with different animal side characters but Finx the spider cat stole the show! I needed space—he was everything I hated and he made me hurt—but somehow he also made me magical, and I didn’t understand. In all instances, we're told, the reasoning behind the visions is the same: if you're strong enough to be trusted with powers, then you must learn to accept the hand of fate, as surely as you'd earned it as your mage-mark.
